    We bow because in Japanese that is the formal way of greeting each other. In Karate, we use it not only as a greeting but also as a mark of respect, we are showing respect to the art that we practice and to the ones who came before us who paved the way. The bow also shows humility and that you are thinking of yourself less with the intention to learn more. So the bow is really about giving! When you give respect, cooperation and humility you will be in a better state to learn more and be happier. So keep on bowing ....

The grading was taking be Kyoshi John Lynn's 8th dan who is one of the highest ranked instructors in the country in the style of Shukokai.     The Academy will be closed from Mondaythe 17th of August untilSunday 23rd of August. During this time, the Academy will be getting redecorated ready for Monday 24th when we reopen. This is also a good opportunity for the instructors to have re-charge so we are all at our best for you in classes.     A massive Congratulations to everybody who passes their Black belt grading on Saturday at the Hombudojo in Rhyl. After a tough grading, all 11 students achieved their Black belts and other degrees. The grading was taken by Kyoshi John Lynn 8th Dan the head of the association.     At John Lynn's Black Belt Academy, we understand that it is not always easy getting to classes to train especially over the summer Holidays. Because of this we will be putting on a course of morning classes for of all to attend. This class can be used to replace an evening class should you need and the classes will be taught by two of our most enthusiast and dedicated Instructors Sempai Reynolds and Sempai Livesey.
